OUR MISSION
Our mission is to train doctors who are equipped with the knowledge and skills that can contribute to universal science, who know the health problems of our country, who can produce and apply solutions to these problems, who respect human life and who display attitudes and behaviours befitting the honour of the medical profession; to provide scientific, modern, and quality health services; and to conduct research that will contribute to contemporary science.

Our vision is to provide medical education, research, and health services in accordance with international criteria; constantly develop the physicians we train, the knowledge we produce and the service we provide to the society in the field of health; to be honoured to be a student and employee; and to be a respected faculty based on a transparent and participatory management approach.

OUR PURPOSE
Education: We aim to be able to identify and prevent the health problems of the region and the country and produce solutions; constantly improve ourselves; to let our students practice profession by observing human rights, patient rights and medical ethics; to have high communication skills; to train physicians equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes within the framework of national and international standards.
Research: We aim to train competent researchers in line with national requirements; to solve regional and national health problems; to ensure that research is carried out on national health policy and medical education and basic and clinical medical sciences that can be included in national and international literature.
Service: We aim to provide quality health services at national/international standards in accordance with the needs of the people of the region through Harran University Research and Application Hospital and to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life.
 
  
OUR GOALS
Education: We aim to;

- organize the education program of the faculty, considering the national core education program and the priority health problems of the society,

- develop the educational qualifications of teaching staff; regular training of trainers at regular intervals in order to ensure the use of effective, modern education and assessment and evaluation methods,

- accredit undergraduate and postgraduate education programs,

- support the organization of seminars, conferences and in-service training programs attended by national and international experienced and well-equipped speakers that will enable them to access up-to-date information in the ever-evolving field of medicine,

- increase the participation of students and lecturers in national and international exchange and visit programs,

- involve in student and assistant representatives in education-related commissions; effectively receive feedback from students, academic and administrative staff,

- support the work of student clubs and increasing their diversity,

- counsel students in social, cultural, psychological, academic and career terms.
 

Research: We aim to,

- increase the quality and number of master's and doctoral programs aimed at training researchers,

- encourage participation in support programs to increase national and international research and development potential,

- strengthen technical equipment, infrastructure and personnel support that will enable scientific research,

- create and encourage the necessary conditions to support participation in congresses and other scientific events where the results of scientific projects will be published/presented,

- provide education to faculty members and students on basic subjects such as scientific research, preparing scientific projects and writing scientific articles,

- increase the quality of publications and increasing the number of publications in SCI group journals,

- encourage the development of the scientific journal published within our faculty. 
 

Service: We, by observing the patient-physician rights balance and ethical rules, aim to;

- provide health services by protecting the health and safety of employees and students,

- establish an experienced and well-equipped staff in line with the requirements,

- provide the necessary infrastructure for the quality and efficient performance of hospital services and produce projects for the development of the infrastructure,

- reach the latest technological infrastructure opportunities in the field of health, and use these opportunities in the diagnosis / treatment of patients and student education at the highest level,

- determine the priority health problems and needs of the region and shape the structuring and organization accordingly,

- make the necessary arrangements in line with the needs of the Faculty of Medicine and other students studying in the field of health, who received practical training at the Research and Application Hospital.
